Do I need a diagnosis to get support?
No.
You do not need a formal diagnosis to access support.
Our programs are built on reducing barriers and meeting people where they are. If you (or someone you support) has questions, concerns, or lived experience related to neurodiversity, substance use, pregnancy, parenting, or daily functioning, you are welcome to connect with us.
Who can access connectFASD?
ConnectFASD is available to anyone seeking information, resources, or support related to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
This includes:
- Individuals with possible or confirmed FASD
- Families, caregivers, and natural supports
- Service providers, educators, and healthcare professionals
- Community members wanting to learn more
There is no fee, no diagnosis required, and no referral needed.
Who can access connectNDD?
ConnectNDD is for anyone experiencing challenges with regulation or executive functioning, including focus, organization, emotional regulation, planning, impulse control, or daily routines.
You do not need a diagnosis to reach out.
People who may benefit include:
- Individuals of any age who struggle with attention, memory, or regulation
- Those exploring neurodiversity or noticing patterns related to ADHD, autism, learning differences, or prenatal substance exposure
- Caregivers, educators, and service providers seeking guidance or resources
Who can access connectRecovery?
connectRecovery supports individuals with FASD, or possible FASD, or NDD impacted by substance use — directly or indirectly.
This includes:
- Individuals with known or possible FASD or NDD who are seeking recovery or harm reduction support
- Parents using substances
- Family members, partners, and friends
- Service providers wanting guidance or resources
All conversations are confidential, respectful, and person‑centered.
How is My Potentia funded?
My Potentia is funded through a combination of provincial grants, community partnerships, and donor support.
This blended model allows the program to remain accessible, community‑driven, and responsive to the needs of individuals seeking cognitive and functional assessments outside traditional clinical pathways.
Does My Potentia serve outside Calgary?
My Potentia currently supports individuals and organizations in Calgary, and the surrounding areas.
While our direct programming is based locally, our support hotline is available to anyone, regardless of where you live. If you’re outside our service area, we’ll do our best to guide you, offer information, and connect you with appropriate contact when we can.
