TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE BUILDING

My Potentia advances how communities understand and respond to FASD, addiction, and other Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Through training that is practical, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence and lived experience.

Topics Include:

A practice-based workshop that equips health and social service providers to engage in brief, non-judgmental conversations about alcohol and pregnancy.

A practical look at evidence-informed strategies to better support individuals and families impacted by FASD. Designed for sectors such as housing, justice, addiction and mental health, education, and child and family services.

An introductory-level session on FASD for community groups delivered by staff and/or volunteer educators passionate about sharing the realities, challenges and joys of caring for a child or adult with FASD.

FASD Instructional Coaches work alongside school authority staff, including principals, teachers, and educational assistants, to strengthen classroom supports for students with FASD. Coaching is available one-on-one, in small groups, or whole-team settings, with a focus on practical strategies educators can use immediately.
